Help Us Fill 100 Boxes!

Operation Christmas Child

Starting September 24, 2023 through November 5, 2023

Let’s praise the Lord for the opportunity to bless little ones around the globe with a gift-filled shoebox given in Jesus’ name. This year, our goal is preparing 100 pray-filled shoeboxes. Last year, we filled 37 boxes but would like to meet a goal of 100 shoeboxes from St. John's of Essex.

How you can Help

Take a box (or more) to fill on your own, we have them to pick up either before and after Sunday worship or call the church office 410.687.4621 to arrange to pick them up. Each shoebox will have information in them about what to put in your shoebox.

Return your filled boxes back to St. John's no later than Sunday, November 5.

If you can’t fill a shoebox but want to participate, here is a list of items you can purchase. So, when you are out shopping buy one or as many as you would like and drop the items off at our church.

If you can’t go out and shop but want to help, we will accept monetary donations. Place your gift in an envelope with your name and leave with the church secretary. We will purchase needed items to fill the boxes.

On Sunday November 5, the youth will take the donated items and create shoeboxes. We can always use your help to pack the shoeboxes. Be in the church hall around 9:15am.

If you choose, after paying a $10 shipping fee, click on follow your box, enter your email or label code number and follow the journey of your box to its final destination.

We will be mapping the journey of boxes for anyone that wants to share that information with us.
